Mission 5 - Snack it all the way

Hi friends! welcome to a new post of the Veggie Wanderer. Snacks have an important place in our daily meals. Its a small meal that lets us get out of our comfort zone and try something tangy, tacky, spicy or whatever you like without affecting much of your regular diet. This week I had planned to explore some unusual but attractive snacks in Dubai.

1. Kakunada, Kite Beach, Dubai - "The Lebanese Street food" - A food hut located at the beautiful and lively Kite Beach is the one of its kind Lebanese eatery that I have come across in Dubai. Lebanese cuisine is just out of this world; their dips  - what we call chutney are really delicious. Also the various kinds breads they make are yummy. The best part of Levantine Cuisine is that most of it is suitable for vegetarians as opposed to many other cuisines. One such kind of lebanese bread is "KAAKE" and this place specializes in kaake delicacies. I tried "KAAKE LABNEH". Labneh is a Lebanese version of Cream Cheese. The crisp kaake was rolled and stuffed with Tomato, Olives, Mint and Labneh. For just 15 Dhs, I got two rolls. It was yummy and in the backdrop, the view Persian Gulf doubled the experience. The restaurant has open seating at the beach and is a treat for both your eyes and taste. They have a lot of varieties of these rolls and a must try whenever your visit kite beach. Their tagline seems true "Meals & Memories".

 2. 1762, Dubai International Finance Centre, Dubai - This place in DIFC and does some very good and unusual kinds of wraps, burgers and salads. Though this place is bit costly and has mostly non veg options but the food here looked so tasty that I couldn't resist the temptation. I had limited options so tried  "Grilled Vegetables & Provolone Cheese Burger". Even though I hate a lot of vegetables together but I relied on the look of that burger. Frankly, it was awesome and delicious. A burger not spicy but full of various taste of veggies. It had tomato, paprika, brinjal and some other veggies grilled with olive oil. The crispy bread was stuffed with black olives and the provolone cheese was making it melt in mouth. With 35 Dhs being a high amount for a burger its taste made up for it. Its a definite yes when you want to try a burger with a difference.

The food tours are getting even more tastier. Looking forward to many more tasty memories.
